Found in the tropical and subtropical part of Asia to Eastern Australia.
Soil: Plant requires potting soil with perlite or peat. The soil needs to be well aerated, well drained, and also remain moist.
Temperature: Plant prefers warm temperatures between 60° F - 80° F.
Sunlight: Bright, indirect sunlight.
Water: Keep the soil moist but not soggy. They require less water in the winter because the plants are dormant.
Fun Fact: In the wild, the big leaves of the Alocasia are used to shelter all kinds of forest inhabitants.
